Neighbors Emergency Center Texarkana is Only Local Freestanding ER With Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval

HOUSTON, Texas, March 20, 2017 – Neighbors Emergency Center Texarkana proudly possesses the Gold Seal of Approval by The Joint Commission and is the only local freestanding emergency center (FEC) that can list this esteemed accreditation. Neighbors Emergency Center Texarkana is located at 2001 Mall Dr., Texarkana, TX 75503. The center’s phone number is 903-306-2126.

Neighbors Emergency Center Texarkana is recognized by The Joint Commission which is an independent, non-profit organization that endorses and certifies healthcare organizations in the US. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide.

For FECs, this is a volunteer accreditation. Neighbors willingly holds itself to a higher standard of quality operation and clinical care than other FECs who have chosen not to pursue this rigorous accreditation. This elite endorsement aligns with Neighbors’ purpose of providing extraordinary care that is dedicated to Making Lives Better every day.

“The ‘Gold Seal’ of Joint Commission accreditation validates Neighbors’ commitment to providing exceptional care by assuring that we maintain rigorous patient safety and care standards,” said Dr. Shannon Spigener, Neighbors Emergency Center Texarkana Medical Director. “Although all similar facilities must pass certain government inspections, choosing to undergo The Joint Commission process of inspection and ongoing monitoring represents our desire to maintain the highest level of care possible for our patients.”

This national quality seal of approval was significant for Neighbors Emergency Center Texarkana to attain as Neighbors believes in achieving healthcare standards that provide patients with the safest level of quality care.

To earn this accreditation, The Joint Commission has a series of performance standards to meet such as facility leadership, environment of care and quality of clinical care. Commission-approved facilities are required to achieve and maintain these standards in order to be accredited.

Most of these standards exceed those required by the Texas Department of State Health Services and generally crosswalk with the standards required for the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) accredited facilities.

Neighbors also provides patients with a better and faster option in ER care when emergencies arise. Neighbors’ company values include being honorable, transparent and accountable to those we are privileged to serve.
