HOUSTON, Texas, December 12, 2017 – Neighbors Emergency Center Lubbock is pleased to recognize its first year of service to the local community. Neighbors Emergency Center Lubbock began seeing patients on December 10, 2016 and reports over 3,000 patients have received top-quality ER care at this location since it opened. The Lubbock location’s Medical Director is James Williams, MD, and the Facility Director is Amanda Meyer, RN. Neighbors is a product of the community with medical teams living near the centers they work; therefore, Neighbors is aligned with local organizations and events that are important to the community and the patients it serves.

Neighbors Lubbock has taken part in many important local events with meaningful organizations over this last year. Being active in, and connected to, the Lubbock community is paramount to Neighbors, and part of what makes Neighbors Emergency Center the industry leader in freestanding ER care.
The Friendliest City in America welcomed Neighbors Emergency Center Lubbock to the area in December 2016. Neighbors also had Santa Claus at the center’s opening, giving guests the opportunity to tour the newest Neighbors and have their photo taken with the man on the season.
Neighbors Lubbock was pleased to sponsor many local high school spring season and Little League summer season baseball teams. This was just one way Neighbors exemplified its commitment to the community. It also helped educate the public on the many services Neighbors provides as well as assuring parents that Neighbors is always committed to providing their child with the best emergency care for their sports injuries.
Neighbors Emergency Center Lubbock was happy to sponsor and participate in Screen Your Athlete, a community-wide initiative to provide free heart health screenings to high school athletes to help prevent traumatic heart events on the field or on the court. Screening hundreds of athletes, one of Neighbors Lubbock’s Nurses also volunteered at the event.
To salute the brave work and dedication of Lubbock’s finest, Neighbors Lubbock hosted a “Fajitas for Firefighters and First Responders” gathering on May 6. Neighbors provided complimentary burritos to the first 100 firefighters or first responders in attendance.
Summer brought some of the hottest wheels in Texas to your Best Neighbors Ever. Neighbors Lubbock partnered with Caprock Classic Cars to host “Show-n-Shine” on July 1. This family-friendly event gave Lubbock locals a chance to see beautiful classic cars up-close, meet the Neighbors staff and grab a cool refreshment to beat the July heat.
Neighbors has also brought approximately 30 jobs to the Lubbock economy by hiring only board-certified physicians and medical teams with emergency room expertise that treat all adult and pediatric injuries and illnesses.
